Wates Group are looking for a Strategic Procurement Manager to join our Construction Major Projects Team.

The Strategic Procurement Manager is responsible for leading, developing and embedding supply chain and procurement practices across large sector client frameworks within a super region.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Strategic Procurement Manager will drive to maximise opportunities whilst managing risk and working collaboratively with the customer to deliver excellent Procurement practices. Developing the Supply Chain and Procurement strategy for the business area which supports and complements the Wates Group Procurement strategy.

As our Strategic Procurement Manager, you will:

Setting, developing, and implementing Supply Chain and Procurement Strategies for the Sector specific frameworks, to cover Subcontractors,  material, plant and all other goods and services

Delivery of Procurement solutions that provides best value and SMART solutions that impacts on the wider business and Business Boards

Potentially leading a small regional team of Supply Chain and Procurement specialists

Develop and lead the Sector specific Supply Chain and Procurement Strategy that feeds into the wider Business Strategy and ultimately supports the Group Strategy

Management and development of key supply chain and client relationships to ensure the specific sector has a Supply Chain that is engaged,  validated and capable of delivering ours and our clients targets and deliverables

Capture UK and Global strategic market intelligence to manage risk and identify opportunities for any specific sector of work. Ownership and management of Supply Chain tools for specific sectors including Insolvency plans, sourcing, and demand planning.
